Don’t Look Down

mindset of success

There are people in this world who accomplish great things. There are people in this world that talk about doing things but never take action. What’s the difference between them? Think about Wil E. Coyote. Wil E. Coyote chases the Road Runner and runs over a cliff. He keeps running in mid-air until he stops, looks down, and realizes there is nothing holding him up. He then falls to the ground below. Until he looks down, the coyote doesn’t fall. The difference between the people who accomplish their goals and those who don’t is that people who accomplish their goals don’t look down.

Obviously this is a metaphor. There are loads of people who will tell you that you can’t do what you want. They will fill you with negative thoughts and try to dissuade you from doing anything exceptional. They do this because they are scared or jealous. They look for the worst and use that as an excuse not to improve their situation. If they can’t improve their situation, you can’t improve yours.

While constructive criticism can help you fine-tune your plans and help you achieve more, general negativity must be ignored. When someone tells you it can’t be done, don’t take it as a fact, take it as a challenge. A challenge that you can win. When you are faced with negativity, stay positive and don’t look down.
