No one likes to hear bad news, but sometimes things just don’tt go well. Don’t let adversity affect your mindset of success.

  • Relax. Accept that bad news happens and it isn’t personal. Breathe deep and don’t get emotional about the news.
  • Expect to be surprised. Understand that as much as you prepare, you can still be surprised. If you understand that somethings will surprise you, you won’t get stressed out if they do.
  • Don’t be defensive. Look at the big picture, identify where the problem occurred, and focus on your ability to improve the situation. Don’t take bad news as a confirmation of your inadequacies. Things happen, fix the problem and move on.
