Businesspeople have been bombarded about how they have to use social media for marketing. While social media is an excellent tool for marketing, this just scratches the surface of what you can do with it. Here are three things to get you started:

  • Test ideas. Test new ideas for products, services, or strategies. Float an idea to see how many “likes” it gets or to direct people to a survey.
  • Get advice. When you are facing a challenge, get advice from your network. Most problems that businesspeople face are not unique. You probably have at least a dozen contacts who have face similar situations.
  • Get feedback. Talk to your customers. Find out what they like and don;t like about your company, before a problem arises. Reach out and see how you can make their experience with you better.
