Everyone falls into ruts now and then. The stress of the day to day wears us down. Sometimes, we just need to take stock and recharge. To get out of the rut, boost your creativity and give yourself a fresh perspective, get back to basics and ask yourself the following questions:
- Who: Who are doing this for? Think about everyone who benefits from what you do.
- Why: Why are you doing what you do? Boil this one down to its simplest form. Look for the core reason that you do what you do.
- How: How do you accomplish what you need to do? Take a good look at what you are doing and see if it is still the best way to accomplish your why.
By asking these questions, you remind yourself of the basics. You will either remind yourself of the importance of what you do or start to decide if it is time to move on to the next challenge.
