Your marketing efforts are crucial to your business. You could be the best there is at what you do, but if no one knows about it, they can’t buy from you. Ideally, you should teach where your customers are coming from and focus your energies there. However, you should re-evaluate methods you may not be using on a regular basis.
Direct Mail: While this has fallen out of favor, it can be very effective. Since it is being used less, your efforts will stand out more. Sending a well designed direct mail piece can grab the attention of potential customers.
Cold calling: This has been a difficult method to obtain customers in the best of times. Now, with the proliferation of robocalls, it is not effective. People are not picking up their phone unless they know the number that is calling. Replace this with warm calls. Contact people after you have reached out through email or direct mail. Make sure they know who you are before you call.
Remember that business trends are fluid. Just because something works now does not mean in will always work.
